Certified Data Analytics (R) Specialist 

R is one of the most widely used open-source language of analytics in the world and continues to be the platform of choice for the data scientists. A language of big data, R's statistical programming helps to describe, mine, and test relationships between large amounts of data. 

Participants will learn to visualise and analyse data in R. This programme will enable them to create reproducible data analysis reports, demonstrate a conceptual understanding of the unified nature of statistical inference, perform Frequentist statistical inference, modelling to understand natural phenomena, and be able to make data-based decisions. Participants will also learn to effectively interpret statistical results, and in context using layman's term. They will also learn to critique data-based claims and evaluated data-based decisions and visualise data with R packages for data analysis. 

This is a 2-week course, instructed by Prof. Sungjong Roh, Assistant Professor of Corporate Communication, Lee Kong Chian School of Business, National University Singapore (NUS). Prof. Sungjong Roh received his Ph.D. at Cornell University and is currently an Assistant Professor in the Lee Kong Chian School of Business at Singapore Management University. 

Advanced Diploma in Data Analytics and Machine Learning (1 month) 

R and Python are the two most popular open-source programming languages used by data analysts and data scientists, particularly with the increase in data availability, more powerful computing, and emphasis on analytics-driven decision in business. In addition, Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence are gathering momentum to be one of the key pillars of the next Industry Revolution due to the anticipated growth in the machine learning market. 

Unleash the Potential of Blockchain Technology (1 month) 

Blockchain has garnered worldwide attention since the birth of cryptocurrency. Through an interactive exploration on its building blocks, discover how blockchain came about and what makes it so intriguing. This programme discusses real-world examples and contrasts between specific blockchain implementations, such as Bitcoin, Ethereum and Stellar, for a better understanding to the concept of blockchain technology. 

Data Management (1 month) 

By accurately recording data, updating and tracking them on an efficient and regular basis, companies can address their challenges on one hand and make use of the immense potential offered by this sector on the other hand. Database management systems are therefore crucial and important links in the creation as well as management of data. 

Introduction to Accounting Data and Analytics (1 month) 

There is an increasing focus on big data for the accounting profession. Big data represents an opportunity for accountants to analyse the internal and external forces that influence their companies’ performance. By capitalising on big data, the role of accountants is moving beyond optimising the finance function to transforming the enterprise to sharpen competitive advantage.
